We have just expanded our capacity by the installation of a new Xerox 550 digital printer, which will be used to complement our existing Konica Minolta production equipment. Within minutes of being commissioned, the new machine was hard at work on a major customer job.

We are delighted to note the Canon IPF8300 was the winner of the Best Photographic Printer EDP award at FESPA 2011, held in Hamburg from the 24th to the 27th of May.

The development in the photographic market is dominated by papers and media therefore the printer manufacturers do not seem to be innovating
as much, making this a difficult decision. The committee decided that the Canon deserved an award due to its use as an all-round commercial printer, giving the user more options. It has a 12-colour inkset and the colour gamut has been much improved so that all the colours can be utilised.

We think our beast deserves the award, but why not see for yourself the amazing results it can produce on a wide range of media from wallpaper (yes, really) to high-grade professional photographic paper, canvas, outdoor vinyl and more.

A1 Canvas

Our Canon iPF8300 allows Lola Print to offer canvas prints up to 44″ wide, and we can also stretch the pictures over frames of virtually any size in 1 inch increments. One of our customers was delighted with a boxed canvas we produced for his daughter’s birthday.

Wow! When they see this down at the stables they’ll all be wanting one!

Box-framed A1 Canvas

The original photograph required skillful editing in Photoshop CS5 to restore part of the horse’s ear (unfortunately cropped), and the background was cloned to allow a full wrap of 1.5 inches all around.
